Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission have announced the date for Oldham’s Local Area SEND Inspection Revisit.

The revisit will take place on the following dates:

Monday 23rd September to Thursday 26th September 2019

The re-visit will specifically focus on the progress that the Oldham Local Area has made in respect of the 5 areas for improvement identified in the Ofsted / Care Quality Commission SEND Inspection which was conducted in October 2017.

It is really important that parents, carers, children and young people have a voice in this revisit.

  • Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission will be hosting an open parent/carer meeting at the POINT Offices on Monday 23rd September 2019, where you can share your views directly with the Ofsted / CQC Inspection team.

The time of the open meeting on 23rd September 2019 is 1:30pm to 2:30pm

Free parking is available on the car park situated on the corner of Peel Street, close to the POINT offices. To find the carpark using sat nav, please use postcode: OL9 9JX

If you are unable to attend the open meeting please access the online survey to ensure that your views are shared.

The survey is NOW OPEN and will close on Friday 20th September at 12 noon. This will give parents and carers who cannot attend the open session, a full 7 days to access the survey and share their views on progress made since the October 2017 SEND Inspection. We really hope that parents and carers will use this opportunity to have a voice in shaping the Special Educational Needs and Disability offer and services in Oldham. We really need a huge response both to the survey and feedback sessions, so please make this a priority and have your say.
