What we offer

We offer person-centred counselling for children and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and their families.

We offer one-to-one, non-judgemental, person-centred counselling to enable families to cope more effectively and improve their mental health and well-being.

Our counselling offers a safe, empathic place to explore thoughts and feelings, for children through play and creative activities. For adults through a person-centred approach, working with the individuals needs therapeutically to bring about change and empowerment.

We provide early therapeutic intervention for children, young people and parents/carers. This also includes siblings and other family members of those with SEND. Our 'uniqueness' means that we can offer both the children/young people sessions and adult sessions to be run at the same time with individual counsellors.

Counselling can be a positive and powerful experience that provides an insight into issues. It offers ways in which to look at things from a different angle in turn leading to positive outcomes. We aim to facilitate change through listening and encouragement; with opportunities to develop strengths and skills, and to improve life and well-being. At SEND-Together we believe investing in early intervention and prevention is important and significant in preventing mental health issues.
