Oldham Parent Carer Forum is a voluntary organisation and we are keen to involve as many parents and carers as possible. One way you can get involved is by becoming a forum representative.

Our Forum Representatives have a number of roles, for example they may be expected to:

  • Attend meetings with Education, Health, Social Care and Voluntary sector providers.
  • Attend events to provide peer support to other parents and carers .
  • Undertake administrative duties on behalf of Oldham Parent Carer Forum.

As one of our Forum representatives, you will be able to:

  • Become part of a passionate and dedicated team within Oldham Parent Carer Forum and our parent charity, POINT.
  • Access training on key areas of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) policy and practice.
  • Access ongoing development to improve your skills and confidence around SEND.
  • Offer peer support to other families in a similar situation to your own.
  • Make a real difference to families of children and young people with SEND in Oldham.

We have an ongoing recruitment programme for volunteers, so if you would like to discuss opportunities for YOU to become a forum representative then complete the online volunteer application form using the link below.
