Our story POINT was established in 2010 by 4 parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities. Our driving mission was to ensure that parents and carers had access to meaningful information, advice, and peer support, whilst enabling their voices to be heard to drive change and shape better services. Since our launch, membership of POINT has grown significantly from 45 to over 2400 members and having gained registered charity status in 2015, POINT now delivers a wide range of Information, Advice and Support Services for, and with, families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). POINT employ 12 team members and have over 15 volunteers all of whom are committed to deliver improved outcomes for children and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential and live ordinary and fulfilling lives.
