I joined the POINT team in June 2017.  I previously worked for Oldham Council as the SEND Reforms Co-ordinator for 3 years.  During that time I had a lot of interaction with POINT services.  I was inspired by the passion that shone through from staff and volunteers about supporting families in Oldham.  When the chance came to join POINT I didn’t have to think twice.

I have 4 gorgeous grandchildren and one of my grandsons was diagnosed with Autism when in primary school.  So I’ve seen first-hand the struggles a family can go through to make sure their child receives the support they need.  Often not knowing who or where to turn to.

Having that one place that you can go to for advice, support, information or sometimes just somebody to listen makes all the difference.  That’s why I love working at POINT and sharing in their passion for improving life chances and outcomes for children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities.
